It also introduces basic techniques and tips, such as how to cut the perfect strip length and how to glue it properly. After that, the book provides a variety of projects, including a celestial flower pendant, a petal power lariat necklace, a classic filigree pendant, and more.

Some projects require the use of a glue that dries clear, such as Elmer’s Clear School Glue or Scotch Clear Glue. Other projects call for a non-stick work surface such as an acrylic sheet, Styrofoam tray, or waxed paper. A needle tool, slotted tool, pliers, or tweezers are also required to shape coils.

For this project, I opted to use silver-edge ivory and gold-edge blue quilling paper for my earrings (each pair has four sets of three teardrop ring coils positioned with the pointy ends facing one another).
